Puig, Jamie Murray to star in My Tennis Life's season four

Back for a fourth season on Tennis Channel, My Tennis Life welcomes two new members into the series' family: 2016 Olympic gold medalist Monica Puig, and seven-time Grand Slam doubles champion Jamie Murray. Puig and Murray bring loads of playing experience to the fold, as well as significant international social media presences.

This season marks a big year for Puig, as the Puerto Rican will attempt to defend her Olympic gold medal during the Summer Olympics in Tokyo. (It was the first Olympic gold for Puerto Rico in any sport.) Unfortunately, Puig underwent right elbow surgery to start the year—but fret not: she posted a video on Wednesday showing her ripping backhands and hitting some forehands.

Puig, who has over 500,000 Instagram followers, is one of the more genuine and bright personalities on tour.

"It's definitely a very challenging job. But through all the hard work and the hardships, you do get those moments of glory," says Puig. "I hope everyone who's joining me in My Tennis Life will see my normal training routine, but also what I like to do off the court. Kind of showing them I'm just like you guys."

Murray digs his teeth deep into every major tournament he plays. The former doubles No. 1 should provide fans plenty of behind-the-scenes action at the world’s most prominent tournaments—and if an opportunity presents itself, a potential cameo with brother Andy and mother Judy. The first-ever doubles competitor on My Tennis Life, Murray will offer fans a unique glimpse into the mindset of a tennis specialist.

"That's the beauty of tennis, it takes you everywhere and you get to experience so many different parts of the world," says Murray. "You learn a lot about yourself, so many highs and so many lows. Hopefully you won't see me trying to scratch around trying to find partners each week."

The duo will also showcase how to strike a balance between career pursuits and important relationships off the court. Murray has been married to his wife Alejandra for nine years, while Puig has been dating professional baseball player Derek Dietrich for over three years.
