Earlier this year, Serena Williams served as a bridesmaid for Caroline Wozniacki when the 2018 Australian Open champion married former NBA star David Lee.

Just under two weeks ago, Wozniacki revealed Serena would be coming to Copenhagen in May for an exhibition celebrating the Dane’s final match after announcing her retirement from tennis on Good Morning America. But that’s not all the two will be doing together.

The pair of former No. 1s will make their team debut in Auckland, which marks Wozniacki’s penultimate tournament. The ASB Classic confirmed the exciting update on Twitter. Now begs the question: what should their team name be? Carena? Sereniacki? Something else?

The last time Serena played women’s doubles with someone other than her older sister Venus Williams was in 2015, when she and Alison Riske went down in a Fed Cup World Group Playoff rubber on clay to Sara Errani and Flavia Pennetta. Her most recent tournament appearance without Venus by her side on court came in 2002, when she won the Sparkassen Cup in Leipzing, Germany with Alexandra Stevenson.

Wozniacki hasn’t played doubles in more than three years, having lost opening match with Klaudia-Jans-Ignacik at New Haven.
