The new year is almost upon us, and there's a crop of young players ready to make even bigger marks on the world in 2020. Let's count down the Top 10 ATP and WTA youth to watch:

Aryna Sabalenka

Age: 21

Ranking: No. 11

Aryna Sabalenka hasn't gotten to the top of tennis just yet, but she has staked out one pretty impressive claim: She's dominant in China.

Sabalenka began her 2019 with a title at the Shenzhen Open, beating Maria Sharapova along the way. In the fall swing, she won the Premier 5 Wuhan Open, with six wins over highly ranked players, including Kiki Bertens and No. 1 Ashleigh Barty.

And despite an early exit from Beijing's China Open, Sabalenka managed to bookend the season with a third Chinese title, winning the WTA Elite Trophy Zhuhai.

The only thing she does on Chinese soil more than win trophies, it seems, is carry children.

The Grand Slams could probably be considered the weak point of Sabalenka's season—and her young career—with no singles runs past the third round in 2019. But there is another area Sabalenka has cornered off:

In doubles, partnered with Elise Mertens, Sabalenka pulled off the Sunshine Double, winning both Indian Wells and Miami, and took the title at the US Open, her first Slam championship.

Considering she rose only two spots rankings this year, to No. 11, it's easy to be skeptical of Sabalenka's potential for growth. But what's undeniable is this: She knows how to win.
