It's been a long road back to competitive tennis for CiCi Bellis. The 20-year-old underwent four surgeries on her right wrist and arm, taking 20 months off.

Her last event before coming back in November was the 2018 Miami Open. She had a successful return at the WTA 125K Series in Houston, winning three rounds before falling to eventual champion Kirsten Flipkens.

"It was definitely really tough," Bellis said. "Just walking on court I was so excited, but really nervous too since it had been so long since the last time I'd done it."

Last weekend in Orlando, Bellis scored a three-set win over Usue Arconada to seal the American Tennis Showcase victory for Team Stripes.

Bellis is currently ranked No. 860 but will get to use her protected ranking in 2020, when she plans to play a full schedule.
