In the latest edition of athletes showcasing their tennis prowess, Toronto Blue Jays shortstop Bo Bichette just raised the bar a few notches. The 21-year-old showcased some serious racquet-head speed in an off-season hitting session with his father, former Colorado Rockies All-Star Dante Bichette.

Fun fact: Bo is one of three Blue Jays with All-Star dads. Hall of Famer’s Craig Biggio and Vladimir Guerrero Sr.’s kids Coran and Vlad Jr. are also on the squad. Bo’s father Dante was a four-time MLB All-Star.

"I told him, you can write your own lineup in tennis," Dante Bichette said. "You either win or lose. In baseball, sometimes you have to rely on the politics of who is writing the lineup. It's not all that fun."

Here's what Daren Cahill and James Blake had to say about the young Bichette’s game.

There’s no denying Bichette’s quickness or racquet-head speed on the forehand side, and his serve technique is also solid.

He also wants to play tennis with Eugenie Bouchard, commenting on her Halloween Instagram post with "When you gonna let me get on the court with you??" The showdown will hopefully happen.
