Ask around and one will quickly discover Ashleigh Barty is one of the most well-liked players in the locker room. Her humble, positive personality makes it easy to see why and on Sunday, her warm heart shined in the press room.

The world No. 1 clinched the biggest payday in tennis history when she defeated Elina Svitolina, 6-4, 6-3, to win the WTA Finals Shenzhen, earning her a paycheck for $4.42 million. When asked how she would spend the money, Barty disclosed she had already been shopping online throughout the week.

To little surprise, the Australian's latest purchases for not for herself, as her thoughts were with the Royal Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (RSPCA).

"Today [it] was actually some stuff for the RSPCA at home. I was doing a little bit of online shopping because I know they're in need of kind of normal stuff for the cats and dogs and kind of everything at the RSPCA shelter. A little bit to give back to them when I'm back home in Australia," said Barty.

The 23-year-old will first fly to Perth to lead her country in the Fed Cup final against France. A victory would complete a sensational season for Barty, whose highlights include her first Grand Slam at the French Open and becoming the first Australian to clinch the WTA's year-end No. 1 ranking.
