Halep, Barty & more are put to the test in Shenzhen

The world's top players are giving it one last push before heading into the offseason. This week the WTA Finals is in full swing with the Top 8 competing for the final crown in Shenzhen.

Off the court, they were put to a unique test. Naomi Osaka, Bianca Andreescu, Simona Halep, Ashleigh Barty and the rest of the Shenzhen field were all asked questions revolving around this season's results. They had to play a game of mini ping-pong at the same time.

Andreescu thought she captured the most matches this year, while Halep forgot she held the world No. 1 spot this season. The game-with-a-twist proved to be a little tricky for the top competitors.

The WTA also gave fans a behind-the-scenes look that includes bloopers and unseen footage of players in Shenzhen.

The year-end event off to a strong start as Osaka recorded her first match win at the event on Sunday, but then withdrew with a shoulder injury on Tuesday. Halep was just one point away from falling to Andreescu, but clawed back to victory. Kiki Bertens was brought in to replace Osaka and upset top seed Barty in three sets.
