The 2019 season has been the year of Chinese victories for Aryna Sabalenka.

The Belarusian finished her singles season by defeating Kiki Bertens, 6-4, 6-2, in the final of the WTA Elite Trophy in Zhuhai for her third title of the season—all in China. It's been such a China-heavy season for Sabalenka that she joked about hopefully winning titles elsewhere next year.

"For the next season I would like to win somewhere else instead of China," she said in her post-match press conference.

The No. 4 seed won Shenzhen at the beginning of the year, defended her Wuhan Open title, and then picked up the Zhuhai championship.

Speaking of Shenzhen, Sabalenka will now head to the WTA Finals with Elise Mertens to team up as the No. 1-seeded doubles team. They won titles at the US Open, Indian Wells and Miami.
