Matteo Berrettini continued his career-best season on Friday with a win over Andrey Rublev to reach the semifinals in Vienna. The win puts him at a projected No. 9 in the rankings for Monday, which will make his first time inside of the Top 10.

He's the fourth Italian to ever join the elite club (along with Adriano Panatta, Corrado Barazzutti and Fabio Fognini), and the sixth player this year to reach the ATP Top 10 for the first time.

The 23-year-old has been joined in Vienna by WTA pro Ajla Tomljanovic.

Though they haven't publicly confirmed a relationship, she's been in his player box, shopping around the city and on the practice court.

Berrettini has been on an absolute tear this season, and is on the brink of qualifying for the ATP Finals after starting the year just outside of the Top 50. He's seeking his third ATP title of 2019, having won Budapest on clay in April and Stuttgart on grass in June (he won his first title last year in Gstaad).

He also won an ATP Challenger in March, reached the finals in Munich and semifinals at the US Open and in Shanghai.
