The 2019 WTA season is nearly over. With the WTA Finals started on Sunday for the first time in Shenzhen, China, it's time to start thinking who in the eight-player field will finish off the season with one final trophy.

Ashleigh Barty, Karolina Pliskova, Naomi Osaka, Simona Halep, Bianca Andreescu, Petra Kvitova, Belinda Bencic, and defending champion Elina Svitolina will all compete for the title. They've been split up into two groups.

Barty was the first to qualify in early September while the latest, and final, entry was Bencic who snuck into the last spot after winning the Kremlin Cup last week.
