From the looks of things, Kobe Bryant may be coming to a tennis court near you. The 18-time NBA All-Star hit the court earlier this week with USTA Net Generation National Manager and coach Leah Friedman.

Bryant and Friedman worked mostly on basic fundamentals, but had some fun hitting some “three-pointers”. In this case a three-pointer was any ball that landed in the back third of the court, which earned Bryant three points.

The Black Mamba's strokes appear solid enough, but his footwork is still a ways away from translating on the tennis court. Bryant is an avid tennis fan, and was spotted in Naomi Osaka’s player box at this year’s US Open where he was promoting his new book Legacy and the Queen, about an aspiring young tennis phenom.

Bryant isn't the only former NBA Superstar to catch a case of tennis fever, fellow MVP Steve Nash is a serious player, and so is fellow NBA Champion Dirk Nowitzki.
