It's saging season at Sloane Stephens' house. The American and her fiancé Jozy Altidore burnt sage, which is the oldest method for cleansing a space from bad energy (and unwanted spirits). Maybe she's getting rid of bad energy from her past few months, in which she's put together a 3-3 record in Asia since losing in the first round of the US Open.
Stephens and her husband-to-be are also busy promoting their friend Eric LeGrand's great cause.
With a portion of the proceeds going to spinal cord injury research, I challenge you to buy a shirt & wear it proudly to help make a difference on how disabilities are viewed in society! Get yours here https://t.co/tkEKVPnOBf.— Sloane Stephens (@SloaneStephens) October 16, 2019
LeGrand suffered a spinal cord injury during a football game in 2010. His foundation Team LeGrand is selling clothing and hats to help raise awareness and funds for people with disabilities like his.
Stephens and Altidore got engaged in April. Stephens is currently ranked No. 12, and looks like she'll be heading to Zhuhai instead of Shenzhen for her year-end tournament.
