Proud Mamas: Serena Williams celebrates Olympia’s recital while Kristyna Pliskova welcomes first son

It's common for players to only see the insides of their hotel room and outline of a tennis court when they're on tour, but Karolina Pliskova made an exception this week in Wuhan. She got a taste of local Chinese culture by visiting the Hubei Provincial Museum.

The Czech earned a day off after winning her fourth title of the season, at the WTA 125K Series in Zhengzhou.

She then played only doubles at the Korea Open in Seoul, with her twin sister Kristyna — who she helped out a little bit on court.

Pliskova is the No. 2 seed this week in Wuhan and opens against Amanda Anisimova. She could possibly overtake Ashleigh Barty for the No. 1 ranking.
