Another Laver Cup is officially underway, and, just two matches in, the event is already delivering its signature competitive drama and sideshow shenanigans.

Dominic Thiem opened the tournament with a win for Team Europe by fending off Denis Shapovalov in an ever-so-tight match tiebreak, and Jack Sock subsequently evened things up with an unlikely upset over Fabio Fognini, for his first singles win of 2019. It's also been a whole bunch of fun.

Here are some of the best moments from Friday's day session in Geneva.

Hips don't lie

A dominant Thiem looked practically unbeatable in the first set, but then Shapovalov stormed back to win the second, 7-5, forcing the match into a long super tiebreak. Through all this, Fognini, next up, was left waiting in the wings, meaning it would be extra important for him to stay loose:

Coach Fedal

Once it was Fognini's turn, though, Sock got out to a 6-1 lead, and was with Fognini step-for-step in the second set as well. This led to a visit from an unparalleled coaching super team, Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal.

"I want no more negatives, I want you to be only positive," Federer said.

Too good to be possible

One game later, Fognini matched and surpassed Sock's pyrotechnics, when he wrapped his racquet way around the outside of the ball to pull off this fiery forehand that was so good it was initially called out—a challenge would reveal it barely nicked the line:

Kyrgios is floored

But what truly makes the Laver Cup unique is the reaction shots from the team benches. And with the success spread around so far, both sides had their emotional moments:
