Maria Sharapova, Venus Williams among stars who honor science achievement at Breakthrough Prize Ceremony

The common mantra in doubles is to always hit away from the player at then net, but former No. 1-ranked doubles player Rennae Stubbs breaks that convention with her favorite tactic.

“One of my favorite returns of serves is actually ripping the return at the net player,” Stubbs says.

The tactic takes team work as the net player has to accept responsibility for the middle and be ready for the volley to come right at their body.
