In what was a titanic match from Rafael Nadal, the Spaniard defeated Daniil Medvedev in a five-set thriller, winning his 19th major and fourth US Open title on Sunday. It was a battle that many thought easily favored Nadal, but the Russian proved that one can't be too sure of the outcome in this sport.

Of course, after such an epic match, one to properly end this decade of Grand Slams, the world congratulated Nadal on his victory via social media.

Now only one Grand Slam away from tying Roger Federer's record of 20, the world No. 2 is putting himself further and further into consideration as the "GOAT." Medvedev, who put up a monumental fight, picked up a lot of fans in the process and will likely raise his own Grand Slam trophy one day.
