Rafael Nadal's US Open quarterfinal win over Diego Schwartzman was anything but routine. Although the scoreboard reflected a, 6-4, 7-5, 6-2, straight-set victory it wasn't easy for the world No. 2.

Nadal sprinted out to 4-0, and 5-1 leads in the first and second sets, yet the Argentinian would battle back in both and wouldn't go away. The Spaniard not only had to worry about Schwartzman on the other side of the net, but also the sauna-like Arthur Ashe Stadium that seemed to trouble him greatly.

In Nadal's post-match press conference he was asked how his body is feeling as he heads into the final weekend.

"Good. I'm feeling good," he said. "Today was very humid day, very heavy day. I had some cramps in the end of the second, and, yeah, first five games, six games of the third."

After the near three-hour quarterfinal tussle, Nadal had the energy and focus to perfectly aim a ball into the stadium's broadcast booth.

Nadal is now just two matches away from picking up his 19th Grand Slam title, which would put him only one away from Roger Federer's all-time-record of 20 Grand Slam titles. He'll face the No. 24-seeded Matteo Berrettini for a spot in the tournament's final.
