On Monday, Felix Auger-Aliassime hit a career-high ranking of world No. 19, and is showing no signs of contentment. At only 19 years old, the Canadian is not only playing with the world's best but the Canadian is also triumphing over the sport's top names.

He recently graced the pages of the latest edition of Vogue Magazine, speaking about his hero Roger Federer, his love for the game and his work ethic.

This 2019 season, Auger-Aliassime has proven himself on the court with his aggressive playing style and maturity. Although the teen is still looking to capture his first title, he's recorded wins over Milos Raonic, Stefanos Tsitsipas, Nick Kyrgios and Borna Cornic.

In Miami, he made headlines when he rallied through qualifying and dismissed two Top-20 opponents to reach the ATP Masters 1000 semifinals. Auger-Aliassime nearly grasped his first title in Lyon and Stuttgart; falling short in both finals.

There are no doubts that the young star is inching closer to a major breakthrough, but Auger-Aliassime is more focused on playing his best tennis and less about the result. He just earned his first career Grand Slam wins at Wimbledon and will battle for his first main-draw win in New York against a familiar opponent, Denis Shapovalov. He faced Shapovalov in the first round last year, retiring in the third set.

“Obviously the winning part is great, but that’s not everything,” he told Vogue. “The best thing for me is the sound of a ball that has been hit well."
