Embracing TikTok and Instagram TV, the WTA is going above and beyond these days. They had a slew of their best talent give a Media Training 101 class to the masses, complete with some advice for journalists.

Elina Svitolina, Naomi Osaka, Karolina Pliskova, Eugenie Bouchard, Simona Halep, Bianca Andreescu, Maria Sharapova and Ashleigh Barty all took part.

"Here are the rules," Osaka said. "Just like Pokemon, you've got to catch them all."

The rules included sit up straight, pay attention, put your phone away, don't fall asleep, speak your mind, show some color, keep your hands away from your face, don't get angry, redirect questions and don't be afraid to not answer a question.

"You're in charge of the narrative," 19-year-old Andreescu said.

The players had some advice for the media.

"Learn about us before walking in the room," Svitolina said, with backup from Pliskova and Sharapova.

To be honest, if you don't know who Sharapova is, you shouldn't be in the room.
