The first ATP Masters 1000/WTA Premier 5 during the US Open Series is the Rogers Cup. Players head north to Canada to make a huge splash before continuing on towards the US Open. The best players in the world converge to either Montreal or Toronto (the men and women swap every year), and this time the WTA tour is headed to Toronto.

Simona Halep, who will attempt to defend her title, Naomi Osaka, and Bianca Andreescu, just to name a few, are headlining the field. In fact, Andreescu is taking on fellow Canadian Genie Bouchard in the first round.

Halep is wasting no time in getting ready for the Rogers Cup, already getting excited for her chance to defend the title, arriving in Toronto on Friday.
