Belgian compatriots and life partners Alison Van Uytvanck and Greet Minnen had the raw luck of drawing each other in the first round of the Luxembourg Open on Monday.

Van Uytvanck, 25, came in ranked higher at No. 65, and found herself prepared to ward off in three nervy sets the friendly fire of her world No. 123-ranked girlfriend.
