On Saturday, Simona Halep and Serena Williams will be facing each other for the first time in a major final, and the stakes could not be more different for each player.

While Halep already has one Grand Slam under her belt, winning the French Open last year, this is the first time that she will play in the Wimbledon final. This is her best performance since reaching the semifinals in 2014 and her fifth Slam final overall, but it comes against an opponent who, in the past, she has struggled to defeat.

In the 10 times the two have played against each other, Halep has only won once, defeating Williams in the WTA Finals in 2014. They have only faced on grass once, the second round at Wimbledon in 2011, and the most recent defeat for Halep came at the Australian Open this year.

On the flip side, Williams doesn't have the head-to-head pressure, but she does have the worry about tying Margaret Court's all-time Grand Slam record of 24. The former world No. 1 also has yet to win a Slam final since the Australian Open in 2017.

Now, choose who you think will take home the most prestigious title in tennis on Saturday.
