Sabine Lisicki has a huge amount of history on the grass courts of Wimbledon. It's where she made her first and only Grand Slam final appearance inn 2013.

She was the No. 23 seed that no one saw coming, and even triumphed over Serena Williams in the fourth round. The 29-year-old has also reached three quarterfinals and a semifinal at the All England Club.

But this year, the world No. 283 needed a wild card into the Slam's qualifying event over in Roehampton.

She was very emotional following her 6-3, 3-6, 6-3 qualifying victory over Timea Babos on Tuesday. The former world No. 12 hadn't won at Wimbledon since 2016, when she reached the third round.

Lisicki has endured numerous ankle, shoulder and knee injuries that have kept her from consistently being on the tour. She has spent much of the 2019 season fighting through qualifying rounds.

The veteran will seek revenge against Ankita Raina in the second round, after falling to her earlier this month.
