Juan Martin Del Potro is recovering from his second surgery on the same knee in less than a year. In Shanghai in October, playing against Borna Coric, he fell and cracked his right kneecap.

After months of rehab, he returned in February and only competed in five tournaments when disaster struck again, at Queen's Club. He won his first round against Denis Shapovalov, but during the match an eerily similar mishap occurred. While running down a ball near the net, he slipped, and re-fractured his right patella.

Three days following the disappointing news, the world No. 11 has undergone a successful surgery at the Crue Bianca Clinic in Barcelona.

It's unknown if and when Del Potro will make a return to the tour.
