Serena Williams revealed her Roland Garros on Instagram as another collaboration with Virgil Abloh.

"I was really excited because he's the hottest designer right now," Williams said. "And he's amazing. This is the second time we've worked together."

Her sneak peak showed a floor length skirt with a high slit and a matching jacket and crop top. But was she really going to play in a skirt that long?

When she took the court for her first match, the outfit was a lot more playable: a mini-skirt and matching crop top with mesh netting on her stomach. The words "mother, champion, queen and goddess" ran down the outfit in French.

"It's all positive reinforcement for me," she said. "And I kind of love that."

Williams drew Vitalia Diatchenko and her outfit almost didn't get much time to shine as she lost the first set. She quickly turned the tide to beat the world No. 83, 2-6, 6-1, 6-0.

The 23-time Grand Slam champion collaborated with Abloh for the US Open last year as well, where she reached the final.

"I was just off, basically. And then instead of correcting it, I just kept getting worse, just to be honest," Williams said. "I knew it couldn't get worse, and I knew I could only go up. That's what I told myself. I just gotta keep positive."

Williams' positivity and creative look will return in the second round.
