Caroline Wozniacki became the first WTA player at Roland Garros to win a bagel set, meaning without the loss of the game. She actually won seven games in a row before falling apart so completely that she lost to world No. 68 Veronika Kudermetova, 0-6, 6-3, 6-3.

"I think I played really well in the first set. I played aggressive. I played the way I wanted to play," Wozniacki said. "And then I think she got very lucky in the start of the second set and kind of, you know, took advantage of the opportunities she got."

Day 1 of the men's draw on Sunday saw five ATP players win 6-0 sets—and win their respective matches— including David Goffin, Grigor Dimitrov, Leonard Mayer, Oscar Otte and Casper Ruud. So far on Monday, Miomir Kecmanovic  won his first set over Denis Kudla 6-0—and won the match in five. Filip Krajinovic won the fifth set over Frances Tiafoe in flawless fashion.

The No. 13-seeded Wozniacki stands alone so far as the only woman to win a perfect set and the only player to do so and lose.

"I think I just lost a little steam in the end and I made some unforced errors that I normally don't do, so that was very frustrating," she said. "And, yeah, it is what it is. I haven't had the best lead-up to this tournament, which also has been frustrating."

She's been dealing with a left calf injury and had it heavily taped. Wozniacki is the fourth women's seed to drop out along with No. 5 Angelique Kerber, No. 18 Julia Georges and No. 32 Aliaksandra Sasnovich. No. 3-seeded Petra Kvitova withdrew with a forearm injury on Monday.
