Tennis stars past and present came together over the weekend to help celebrate Wimbledon’s latest project completion: a fully retractable roof on its second biggest stage, No.1 Court.

As fate would have it, the shiny upgrade came in handy for the opening ceremony when rain swooped across the All England Club on Sunday afternoon. Wimbledon greats Martina Navratilova, John McEnroe and Venus Williams joined former Wimbledon titlists Pat Cash and Lleyton Hewitt, and former world No. 1s Kim Clijsters and Jamie Murray for three sets of fun-filled exhibition tennis.

Less than 24 hours later, Nick Kyrgios revealed he was on the grounds of SW19. The Australian, who was defaulted from his second-round match against Casper Ruud in Rome for unsportsmanlike conduct, said in an Instagram live video that he was meeting Andy Murray for a practice session.

Murray is recovering from hip surgery and his return has yet to be confirmed though a wild card is reserved for him at Queen's Club next month. One thing that doesn't seem likely is him taking the doubles court with his brother as Jamie told *The Telegraph* that he isn't planning to team up with Andy at Wimbledon.
