Gael Monfils has hit some out-of-this-world shots before, but this one has to be his best ever. The Frenchman pulled off a stunning mid-air forehand passing shot against Marton Fucsovics on Wednesday in Madrid.

The shot came in the second set as Monfils was turning the tide on the Hungarian in an eventual three-set win, 1-6, 6-4, 6-2. The world No. 18 talked his way through what he was thinking during the unforgettable point:

Very cool, indeed. His reward for inspiring the world with his superhuman hot shot is a showdown with Roger Federer on Thursday in the round of 16.
