It's already May, and that means the fast-approaching Roland Garros gets underway this month.

In preparation, 2018 finalist Dominic Thiem took a quiz on French culture for the tournament's social media team, and it turned out he knows quite a bit.

He correctly identified all the landmarks he was tested on, including the French Open stadiums, the Louvre and the Catacombs of Paris.

Thiem also showed off his knowledge of French foods, including pains au chocolat ("I love it!"), escargots, and a variety of cheeses.

Last, he received a French-language lesson, practicing phrases such as, "My favorite court is red clay."

The world No. 5 captured his first clay title of the season on Sunday, winning Barcelona without dropping a set, even to Rafael Nadal.
