A trio of expected earners leads the WTA Tour in prize money so far in 2019, as reported by *Forbes*.

Naomi Osaka, this year's Australian Open singles champion, leads all comers with a whopping $3.2 million in this cool young season.

Petra Kvitova, who finished as finalist to Osaka in Melbourne in between winning two smaller titles, lands behind her at $2.2 million and climbing, in light of her Stuttgart championship this past weekend.

Surprise Miami Open winner Ashleigh Barty caps off the top triumvirate, with $1.9 million in 2019 so far, supplemented by her frequent doubles play, which sets her apart from those a bit ahead of her.

Perhaps the more surprising champion in Indian Wells finds herself the most intriguing story of the season to date: Bianca Andreescu, who upended Angelique Kerber for that title in the desert, harbors $1.6 million on the year. Not shabby for a largely self-made millionaire who doubles as a preternaturally talented teenager.

As Forbes has it, Serena Williams comes in just under $440,000 in 2019 earnings, good for No. 21 on this living, breathing WTA roster. Not one to fret over such things, Williams owns $88.6 million for her career so far in on-court earnings, blowing away the current crop of top money-makers, led by Kvitova's $23.5 million, in part thanks to two Wimbledon titles.
