Maria Sharapova was used to being at the top of the tennis world, and everyone was used to seeing her there. A world No. 1 ranking and five Grand Slam titles, the Russian was both a force on the court and off, creating a candy empire with her Sugarpova brand and picking up countless lucrative sponsors.

Since her 15-month doping suspension, things have notably slowed down for the 32-year-old. Her comeback in April 2017 began on a promising note, winning her first WTA title in two years at the Tianjin Open and returned to the Top 25.

Yet injuries plagued her entry into many tournaments since then and, in February this year, Sharapova underwent a shoulder surgery, forcing her to withdraw from Stuttgart and Madrid. She has not played a tournament since St. Petersburg in January. Though ranked No. 28, she'll lose valuable points if she doesn't come back soon.

With all of her injuries and less-than-stellar performances, is Sharapova nearing end or should fans expect to see her go out on a higher note?
