Lizzo shouts out Serena in tennis ball–colored gown

Lizzo is owning her mega-moment. The "Juice" and "Tempo" singer, a recent collaborator with Missy Elliott and garnering attention left and right, wore a fetching, bright-green dress to the GLAAD Media Awards in Los Angeles.

That's right, if not actually made of tennis balls, the frock certainly had the hue of them. Lizzo shouted out Serena Williams in an accompanying tweet. The look overall drummed up memories of Bethanie Mattek-Sands' garb, which involved actual tennis balls, from 2011's pre-Wimbledon players' party.

The GLAAD gala might have feted Jay Z and Beyoncé for their efforts in LGBTQ inclusion, but it was Lizzo and more performers who stole the show. From recently rocking a mic alongside Venus to name-dropping Serena, Lizzo may be working her way toward friendship with the House of Williams.
