MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. — Mixed doubles may be scarce on the pro tour, but mixed practices are not. Male players are sharing a court with the women more than ever these days, and there are some great reasons behind the trend.

You've seen Rafael Nadal and Maria Sharapova hit some balls, as well as Serena Williams practice with a slew of male stars including Frances Tiafoe, Stefanos Tsitsipas and Grigor Dimitrov. Most recently in Indian Wells and Miami, Nick Kyrgios has been sharing a court with Amanda Anisimova.

Tiafoe started his season off with a bang by making a run to the Australian Open quarterfinals. He went through a few off weeks afterward, but has seemingly found his way in Miami, where he's into the round of 16.
