Osaka appears in the pages of Vogue

Naomi Osaka has made it, big time, there's no doubt about that.

The two-time Grand Slam champion was just profiled in *Vogue* feature, timed perfectly with the start of her Miami Open campaign. The top seed started things off on Friday with a 6-0, 6-7 (3), 6-1 win over Yanina Wickmayer.

The headline for the Vogue story, written by Louisa Thomas, reads: "The New Number One: Naomi Osaka is Playing to Win," and tells some of the parts of her story you're familiar with, like her start in the sport, her family and heritage, the US Open final and her meteoric rise to icon status.

It also reminds everyone of the heartwarming news that her older sister Mari is her best friend.

The sisters were playing in Miami together when Mari Osaka received a wild card. She lost her opener to fellow wild card Whitney Osuigwe.

Naomi Osaka will continue playing to win in her next round against Hsieh Su-wei on Saturday. It'l be a rematch of their third round at the Australian Open, which Osaka very nearly lost.
