WATCH: Halep shares behind the scenes from her travels

Most players are flying from country to country to play multiple tournaments a month with almost no room for sightseeing. Even with a packed schedule, world No. 2 Simona Halep took a chance to squeeze in some non-tennis activities.

The Romanian has been all over the world in 2019, and it's only been two months. She begins her behind-the-scenes review in Bucharest after a long trip Down Under.

Next, she flew to Ostrava, Czech Republic for Romania’s Fed Cup clash against the Czechs. She helped her team to a 3-2 win, propelling Romania to its first Fed Cup semifinal ever.

There's nothing like a little shopping therapy. After losing in the Doha final, Halep—who happens to be a Dubai Duty Free ambassador—was greeted with a shopping spree at the Dubai airport.

She would lose in the quarterfinals to eventual champion Belinda Bencic. This week in Indian Wells, Halep will be seeking her first title since August. The No.2 seed will open against Barbora Strycova on Friday.
