While it may seem like Venus Williams can't have a lot left to hide after more than 20 years in the public eye, the 38-year-old revealed a few unique personal facts in a recent interview with The Cut. She answered 12 questions about smell, based on the theory that memories are trigged by scent.

It turns out she thinks that happiness smells like donuts, and she “thinks about them everyday.” That’s certainly relatable. She’s also fond of the smell of oranges, which happens to be the official fruit of her state of residence, Florida.

Like a lot of players, she just wants to be home when she has time off, and she’s lucky to get home cooked meals made by her family. The American just moved into a new house on Jupiter Island just steps from the ocean so her house smelling like sand and salt makes sense.

The world No. 37 is back in her old home state of California next as she readies for Indian Wells. It’s her first event since losing in the third round of the Australian Open.
