Zip-lining is one way to start a tournament week. It's no secret Acapulco is an incredible destination on the 2019 schedule, made even better by being a joint WTA and ATP event. Sloane Stephens and Alexander Zverev took full advantage of their good fortune and went zip-lining.
"I love zip-lining, but I’ve never gone forward like Super Man style," Stephens said. "I was a little bit nervous. I was like I don’t know why I did this especially a day before a tournament that’s not very smart."
They also played mini-tennis amidst the cliffs and ocean, something that's become a tradition at the Abierto Mexicano.

Stephens almost missed her day of fun as she struggled to get from Houston to Acapulco on United.
After allowing me to take a delayed flight (mechanical problems), knowing I would miss my connection, @United is now telling me I won’t reach my destination for another 36 hours (for a 2hr flight) Totally unacceptable! INSANE.— Sloane Stephens (@SloaneStephens) February 23, 2019
It all worked out in the end as the top seed took Pauline Parmentier on Tuesday night. Zverev, the No. 2 seed, starts against Alexei Popyrn.
