Serena Williams and Maria Sharapova were some of the athletes in attendance at the hottest Hollywood event of the year, the Vanity Fair Oscars Party.

Sharapova is a veteran of the glamorous red carpet, having graced it a number of times. It took place at the Wallis Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts in Beverly Hills, following the 91st Academy Awards on Sunday night.

She was one of eight presenters for Best Picture, introducing the nominee A Star is Born. The presenting role is usually reserved for actors but the Academy Awards chose "highly recognized talent from various walks of life" instead.

The 37-year-old's night wasn't over yet, as she headed over to the Vanity Fair party.

She definitely spent some time with Grigor Dimitrov (as evidenced on his Instagram story). The Bulgarian looked sharp in Dior.

Williams is next expected to play Indian Wells, while Sharapova withdrew with a shoulder injury.
