WATCH: Ball boy gets hit by Tsitsipas' serve in Marseille

The life of a ball person can be dangerous sometimes. Spectators and players have seen ball boys and ball girls hit by errant serves before, but not quite like this.

A ball boy looked to catch an out serve off Stefanos Tsitsipas' racquet only for it to ricochet and hit him right in the face. Sergiy Stakhovsky quickly went to the rescue, helping lead the boy off the court as he clutched his eye.

Tsitsipas, the top seed at the ATP 250, would win the match 6-4, 6-3 and go on to take the title with a win over David Goffin in the semifinals and then Mikhael Kukushkin in the final.

Marseille marks the 20-year-old Greek's second career ATP title and boosts him to a career-high ranking of No. 11.
