In what's been the match of the tournament in Dubai, Aryna Sabalenka should have, by all measures, emerged as the winner. Taking on Belinda Bencic in the round of 16, Sabalenka had six match points. Yet, somehow, Bencic won the match, 6-4, 2-6, 7-6 (7).

The world No. 9 was quickly comforted by her coach, Dmitry Tursunov.

And the 20-year-old has picked herself right back up already.

Earlier in the week, Sabalenka took a break from training to visit patients at Al Jalila Children’s Speciality Hospital, the first dedicated children’s hospital in the United Arab Emirates. She even brought along tournament mascots Ace and Annette.

After making some new friends, she went to make even more at the Dubai player party.

Sabalenka was meant to play in the doubles draw this week but her partner, Elise Mertens, pulled out with a hip injury.
