On Tuesday, Felix Auger-Aliassime ousted Fabio Fognini, the No. 2 seed in Rio, in straight sets. While the win was a milestone in itself, the young Canadian has assured himself a spot in the Top 100 for the first time.

The 6-2, 6-3 win over the world No. 16-ranked Fognini marks Auger-Aliassime's best career win. It was also his first ATP main-draw win of 2019.

While he's currently ranked No. 104, the 18-year-old will become the youngest player in the Top 100 come Monday.

The teen in that coveted role right now is Auger-Aliassime's friend, fellow Canadian Denis Shapovalov. Shapovalov is having a very different week as the No. 4 seed lost his opening round in Marseille.

Auger-Aliassime beat Chile's Christian Garin on Wednesday for a spot in his first ATP 500 quarterfinals.
