Los Angeles, how great thou art.

Joining a star-studded cast of attendees, Maria Sharapova and boyfriend Alexander Gilkes relished in the Frieze Art Fair's first-ever event in Los Angeles this week. There were opportunities for photos everywhere, with Sharapova and artist Jonas Wood planting themselves under Hannah Greely's "High and Dry" work, one of the street pieces featured on the Paramount Studios lot.

Frieze's "walk of art" concept, with dozens of galleries presenting at booths spread around Paramount's environments, combats the idea that L.A. is not a walkable city. Sharapova enjoyed a couple photo takes with her pal Wood, whose art is represented by Gagosian Gallery.

Other notables browsing the booths and Frieze-affiliated festivities included Brad Pitt, Jane Fonda, Sylvester Stallone, Beck, Alia Shawkat, Leonardo DiCaprio and Robert Pattinson.

That luminous L.A. outing was just the latest for Sharapova, who recently dined with fellow famous types including power duo David and Victoria Beckham, fashion stalwarts Valentino Garavani and Giancarlo Giammetti, and others. Where Sharapova oozes style and schmoozes with celebs next remains to be scene.
