This weekend, the 2019 Fed Cup got underway. The year's premier women's international tournament (also known as the female counterpart to Davis Cup) starts with eight nations fighting to earn a place in the semifinals in April. The World Group ties include Czech Republic vs. Romania, France vs. Belgium, Germany vs. Belarus, and Australia vs. the United States.
