Since winning Indian Wells last March, Naomi Osaka has risen to the top of the rankings and become the biggest superstar on the WTA tour.

Coming off an average 2017 season, the Japanese player was ranked No. 68. Since then, she has piled together meteoric achievements and set multiple records. With her recent Australian Open title, Osaka has cemented herself as one of the biggest superstars of this generation.

Many credit her coach, Sascha Bajin, who joined her team at the end of 2017–just before she started her rapid ascent. With her powerful game, mature composure and shy demeanor off the court, Osaka is quickly turning into a beloved fan favorite.
