After Naomi Osaka took to Instagram to share her thank you messages for her maiden Australian Open title, Andy Murray was one of many to comment.

The 21-year-old’s lengthy list of thank you's included a lot of people, but not the Scot, even though the pair practiced together in Brisbane in preparation for the Australian Open.

“Disappointed not to be mentioned in this post after our hit in Brisbane but congrats anyway,” Murray commented.

Osaka responded with: "my bad.”

Of course, Murray’s mother Judy shared their back and forth on Twitter, where it picked up even more attention.

On Tuesday, Murray announced that he underwent hip resurfacing surgery to hopefully end his pain.

The goal is for him to compete one last time at Wimbledon.
