Djokovic reunites with nine-year-old "Novak from Perth"

Novak Djokovic finds himself the centerpiece of a fantastic New York Times dispatch from Melbourne's Australian Open—and he likes it.

Karen Crouse's story goes in depth with local residents either of Serbian descent or hailing from the previously war-torn country, spotlighting their affection for Djokovic, a true national hero many of them hope to catch a glimpse of or even share words (or a friendly hit) with when he descends Down Under.
