Unless you have been living under a rock, you probably saw Andy Murray announce he will be forced to retire from professional tennis this year. His popularity with his fans is still going high despite the looming end date—which could be as soon as after the Australian Open.

A super fan posted on Instagram describing her love for Murray after seeing his practice match with Novak Djokovic. "It was [Murray] that showed me just how entertaining tennis can be, and for that I thank him with my whole heart,” 18-year-old Jordyn Kollmorgen wrote.

Murray responded to the Instagram post by saying he was sorry he couldn't be more entertaining at the practice session, but made an offer. “If you’d like to come along and watch my match on Monday or Tuesday I’ll sort you a ticket," he wrote.

During the press conference in Melbourne the 31-year-old said that “the pain [in his hip] is too much," despite undergoing surgery. The three-time Grand Slam champion missed last year's Australian Open with the same hip injury.

Murray is currently ranked No. 230, and is set to play Roberto Bautista Agut in what could be the final match of his career.
