When you're in a foreign country, it helps to understand the local lingo. Serving up some laughs before the Australian Open, a few WTA stars tried their hand at speaking, and figuring out, certain Aussie slang words.

Many make no sense, and quite a few players, including Angelique Kerber and Sloane Stephens, had a rough time.

Completely normal terms Down Under, such as "Togs", "Chuck a Sickie," and "Schnozza", completely baffled the women. Thankfully, local Aussies Ashleigh Barty and Samantha Stosur filled them in on just what these wacky terms mean ("Schnozza" means nose, by the way).

Perhaps her heritage is giving the 22-year-old Barty an edge this month as she defeated world No. 1 Simona Halep in Sydney and then Elise Mertens to reach the semifinals.
