Bencic smooths out Federer's selfie game

Roger Federer has made a name for himself as a social media ace, in addition to frequently slaying the competition on court. For one, he (read: his team) knows how to deploy emojis deftly.

That said, his countrywoman Belinda Bencic was more than glad to help him up his selfie-slash-smartphone game upon winning the Hopman Cup title. Witness this smart use of a shiny, mirror-effect surface:

Bencic and Federer retained their 2018 Hopman Cup team title, this time besting final foes in the German duo of Angelique Kerber and Alexander Zverev. And so this all-Swiss performance in Perth included not just holding court, but also some camera-phone demystifying between the 21- and 37-year-old compatriots.
