Kei Nishikori is immensely popular in his home country of Japan and he can't turn a corner without someone recognizing him. But he's used to staying relatively under the radar in the U.S. especially when he's training at the IMG Academy in Bradenton, Fl.

But for one day, home came to him—at least in the form of a media frenzy.

Over 50 members of the media came to speak with the world No. 9.

"It's a little bit crazy and not easy to walk around in [Tokyo], sometimes I have to hide myself. I've got to wear camouflage," Nishikori said earlier this year. "Now I live in the States so it's much easier and more relaxed. I can focus on my practices."

At least on days that aren't open to Japanese media...

He had a strong comeback year after a wrist injury derailed his 2017 season. The 28-year-old climbed all the way back inside the Top 10 and even made the ATP Finals field after dipping as low as No. 39 in April.
